Formed in 2006 by Founder and Artistic Director Stevie Jay, Mirador Productions strives to present interactive family theatre encouraging audience participation by using traditional theatre performance, the art of clown, improvisation and pantomime. It is our hope and goal through interactive performance and active involvement with our community that we will inspire future generations’ growth and participation in the arts. Geoff is an original founding member of the company. First asked to perform in Charlotte's Web as Templeton Rat, it soon became apparent that his skills extended far beyond the stage. In the company's fourth year Geoff officially became co-Artistic Director of the company. Through joint direction, Stevie and Geoff, work to grow the company and in addition to meeting their mandate work to become a part of the community and traditions in Muskoka, where they perform each summer.
Founded in 2007 by Matt and Jeff Campagna, MIFF is the filmmaker friendly festival. In addition to its goals of promoting the independent Canadian artist, MIFF succeeds in programming a festival that gets filmmakers connected to the people who get independent films out there.
MIFF keeps submission fees less than one tenth of what some festivals this size do, encouraging local talent, holding workshops with industry leaders, and keeping the festival competition all-Canadian are just some of the ways that MIFF helps the burgeoning digital indie movement raise the bar for what the world expects from Canadian film.
Geoff joined MIFF in 2010 as the submissions co-ordinator. He extended his duties and is part of the selection committee for festival programming.
More information on the festival can be found at: Mississauga Independent Film Festival.
Geoff Kolomayz is a great communicator. His work as a corporate coach taught him strong, clear and effective methods of communication. As a freelance reader, his work with various casting agents gave him insight to the audition process. Working and training with casting agent Ron Leach further honed this insight. Finally, his personal experience as the WILDsound Casting Director developed a clear picture of what it takes to make a great audition.
Geoff meshed his corporate coaching, communication and reading skills with his understanding of the audition process to form actors4actors: a growing company which offers affordable acting coaching and reading services. More information on the service can be found on the actors4actors flyer(PDF).
